Welcome to Black Bear Camp, Ontario's premier fishing lodge and your family's wilderness adventure outfitter in Northern Ontario. We are located one hour west of Sudbury, Ontario; five hours north of Toronto or three hours east of Sault Ste. Marie and the Michigan border.

Waterfront Description & Nearby Activities

Fishing: Fish our crystal clear 3000 acre lake for excellent Smallmouth Bass, Walleye (Pickerel), Northern Pike, Lake Trout, Whitefish and Jumbo Perch. Nearby streams, lakes and rivers have awesome trophy Brook Trout (Speckled Trout) fishing and spectacular unspoiled scenery.

Ice Fishing We are open all year now with awesome ice fishing for Walleye, Lake Trout, Perch and Pike.

Hunting: Let us guide you to some of the best Black Bear , Moose and Wolf hunting in Canada, as well as small game like Ruffled Grouse and Ducks.

This year we are going to be attending the Hunting Expo in Grand Rapids Michigan on Jan 28/29/30 2011 and we will be have a bearhunt promotion /show special At the show only... Any hunter signing up for our hunt this year and pays deposit at show there name will go into a draw and they will get there hunt for the price of deposit 500.00 plus bear licence fee of 219.01 ( thats 530.99 off the price of the hunt) minimum of 10 hunters signup

We offer other activities such as hiking, ATV off-roading, mountain biking, big game viewing, boating, canoeing, wind surfing, scuba diving, swimming, blueberry picking and photography.

All this excitement and activity deserves a good nights sleep in our beautiful, spacious and fully furnished waterfront housekeeping log cabins and cottages. We also offer a family campground for RV's or tents with nightly, weekly and seasonal rates. Accommodations can be upgraded to American Plan (3 meals per day).

Individual Unit Description

Cabins at Black Bear Camp are among the nicest cabins you will find at any fishing and hunting camp in Ontario. Black Bear Camp was a logging camp back before World War II. The logging camp's main building is now the main lodge and the cabins are where the workers lived. The Cabins are rustic with wood stoves for heat but some upgrades have been made over the years such as propane stove with oven, electric refrigerator, running water and electric lights. The cabins are fully furnished housekeeping cottages with a fully outfitted kitchen. We have ten cabins to choose from. All cabins are log or frame and are right on the water front and range in sleeping capacity from 3 to 8 people. We have a central shower facility and sauna. All cabins have both clean out-houses and Portti-potties inside.

Camping at Black Bear Camp is a lot of fun and very inexpensive. We have ample land just back from the water where you can have your tent or RV nestled back into the edge of the trees. We have sites that have electrical hook-ups and others that do not for a total of 35 sites. We offer nightly, weekly and season rates.

Black Bear Camp has a beautiful 600 foot sandy beach with lots of docks and dock space for your boat. We also have an introductory seasonal camping special. You can pick your own spot in the trees and then clear out the bush yourself and place your trailer there. For your hard work, we charge half price for the first year camping. We will be bringing electricity to more and more camp-sites every year.

We have a store where you will find all the necessities for your vacation such as groceries, sundries, souvenirs, ice, bait, fishing tackle, fishing and hunting licenses, gas and oil and much, much more.
