We're located on the gorgeous Whalesback Channel of Lake Huron, off the mouth of the Spanish River. Our cabins and lodge are nestled on a picturesque rocky point of Buswell Bay.

Our lodge has a friendly, warm atmosphere and is great for getting together with your friends at the Harbour. If you're on our evening meal or American plan, your meals will be prepared by our awesome cooks, and served with a smile by our friendly staff in the lodge dining room

Fishing Fun For All!

We're located on the Whalesback Channel of Lake Huron at the mouth of the Spanish River. This means you have two great water systems to fish. The Spanish River is one of the most productive rivers in Northern Ontario for walleye in particular. Many of the surrounding lakes are stocked from the Spanish River.

Being part of Lake Huron, the Whalesback Channel has a small lake feel with Great Lake fish. The Channel is 14 miles long by about a mile to a mile and a half wide. It's well protected from the larger water by a number of large and small islands. We're the only resort on the channel and there are only a handful of cottages. So, although we're very convenient to get to, you'll feel as though you're in the middle of the wilderness. Guests are often surprised that they can spend an entire day without seeing another boat.

Waterfront Description & Nearby Activities

Enjoy a beautiful waterfront location. Each cabin has a refreshing view of the bay and our lovely sand beach is just down the steps in front of the lodge. Right from your cabin you can watch Blue, our resident Blue Heron as he perches on our breakwall. Along with Sandhill Cranes, you might also see Bald Eagles, the otter family, beavers and a bear or two.

Individual Unit Description

We have nine cabins which vary in size. Our small and cozy cabins sleep two, while our largest cabin sleeps six. All cabins are fully equipped if you would like to do your own cooking, have full bathrooms and hot water. You can be sure that your cabin will be immaculately clean and will have a gorgeous view overlooking the bay through a large picture window.

Bring Your Own (aka Housekeeping) - $545/person/7 nights
If you want to bring your own food and prepare your meals, this is the package for you. It includes everything mentioned above. Please bring your own towels.

Shorter stays can be arranged at $115/person/night

Can't Wait Til Dinner (aka Evening Meal Plan) - $665/person/7 nights
Can't be bothered to cook dinner after a long and tiring, but fun-filled, day of fishing? No problem, we'll have dinner ready for you in our lodge. Dinner is served at 5pm so that you'll still have lots daylight to enjoy more fishing after your belly's full. But, don't' worry, if you've found a great spot and don't want to leave it, we won't let you go hungry. Your dinner will be waiting for you in your cabin when you get in.

The can't wait til dinner package includes your evening meal plus everything mentioned above. Please bring your own towels.

Shorter stays can be arranged at $140/person/night

Mmmmmm... food (aka American Plan) - $795/person/7 nights
Just want to relax and focus on fishing? On our all meals included American plan you can do just that. We'll start your day off with a yummy breakfast served in our lodge between 7:30 and 8:30am, give you a packed lunch to take with you then serve your dinner at 5pm in the lodge. If you're not back at 5pm because you're too busy fishing and lose track of time, your dinner will be waiting for you in your cabin.

The mmmmmm... food plan includes all your meals, daily housekeeping and fresh towels plus everything mentioned above.
