Property Description

Situated on 5 acres on the south end of Clear Lake, we have 10 quaint, cozy, clean Housekeeping Cottages available from mid May to mid October and 2 winterised cottages available year round. We also have a small 4 site campground available for families with access to hydro, water, hot showers and flush toilets.

Waterfront Description & Nearby Activities

Swimming in Clear Lake is a truly magical experience as the water is indeed crystal clear. Many of our guests describe our swimming area as “one of the best in Muskoka” with the perfect combination of crystal clear water, north facing (so we get the late afternoon sun!) and a clean sandy bottom. There are NO ROCKS, NO WEEDS, NO ZEBRA MUSSELLS AND BEST OF ALL, NO ROAD TO CROSS. It is shallow at the shore, perfect for toddlers, yet it also becomes deep enough so the adults can enjoy a dip as well.

Our campfire is also situated right on the beach. Guests are welcome to light the communal campfire any night they wish after 6 pm and we supply the firewood.

Fishing in Clear Lake can be a fun experience for those who know where to cast their line. Smallmouth Bass are frequent catches for many of our guests and there is Rainbow Trout.

Individual Cottage Description

We have 10 housekeeping cottages (3-3 bedroom and 7-2 bedroom) scattered around our treed 5 acre property with 310 feet of waterfront and no road to cross. Our cottages have been well maintained & "loved" over the years and are decorated in a very informal and relaxed style. Please note that the cottages are immaculately cleaned after each guest. Please see our website for a detailed description, including photographs of each cottage. Our 3 bedroom cottages sleep up to 6 and our 2 bedroom cottages sleep up to 4.

Cottages come fully equipped with:

comfortable queen sized beds
3 piece bathrooms (toilet, sink, shower)
large refrigerator, full sized stove, microwave oven
coffee maker, toaster and kettle
kitchenware (plates, bowls, cutlery, glasses, cups, pots & pans)
comforters, pillows, mattress protectors & blankets
propane BBQ with propane provided
picnic table
2 outdoor chairs
communal firepit (wood provided)

For families, we also have campsites with hydro and water hook ups.

Fees & Deposits

Additional Rate Information

Cottage rates vary depending on season, number or guests and size of cottage. Rates quoted above are for 2 bedroom cottages and assume a maximum of 4 people (includes adults, teens, children & infants).

During the summer season (July & August) rates range from $995.00 to $1225.00 per week. Fall and spring, our weekly rates start at $795 and nightly at $135.00. For Holiday Weekend rates (Thanksgiving etc.) please contact us via email or phone.

Our 4 person campsites (families only please) are $45.00/ night and include the use of beachfront amenities.

House Rules

Summer: Weekly rentals (Sat-Sat), shorter stays considered if a vacancy exists closer to date. Winter/Spring/Fall: Minimum 2 night rental except for Holiday Weekends.
Holiday Weekends: Min. 3 nights, shorter stay considered if last minute vacancy exists. Please contact us for rates.

Deposits: $300 (2 bedroom)/$350 (3 bedroom) deposit for weekly reservations payable at the time of booking. Deposits for shorter/longer stays determined at the time of booking.

Payment: All rates exclusive of tax. Full payment is required at check-in. Methods of payment accepted for deposits are Visa or MasterCard. At check-in we will accept cash, Visa or MasterCard.

Cottage Capacities: We do not allow the overcrowding of our cottages. Please note we consider infants, children & teens as guests, regardless of age.

Additional guests/visitors: Guests wishing to have visitors for the day or night must make prior arrangements with management. An additional charge will be applicable if above the rated capacity of your cottage.

Smoking: We ask that our guests do not smoke inside the cottages.

Pets: Sorry, we do not allow pets .

Please, no Jet Skis/Sea-doo’s.

Noise: In consideration of other guests, our family and our neighbours, we ask that radios, CD players, Ipod docks etc. are not played outside of your cottage and if played inside the cottage, it is at a volume that cannot be heard outside. We also ask that there is no excessive noise after 10pm.

Check-in: 3:00pm (no earlier in summer please) Check-out: 10:00am (sharp in summer please)

What to bring? As we are a housekeeping resort, please bring the following:
Sheets (top & bottom/fitted) & pillowcases
Towels for bath, beach and dish drying (tea towels) & bath mat
Toilet paper, paper towels, tissues
Dish soap, garbage bags and toiletries (soap, shampoo, toothpaste etc.)

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations: Please understand that cancellations can be devastating for a small business like ours. 75% of your deposit is refundable if cancellation is more than 8 weeks (56 days) prior to check in. If cancellation is less then 56 days before check-in, no refund is given. If cancellation is within 14 days or less of your vacation, then you will be liable for the full amount (deposit and balance owing) and your credit card will be charged accordingly. There are no refunds for late arrivals or early departures.
