Established in 1890, Port Cunnington Lodge & Resort has been family run since day one. Your hosts the Loader family are descendants of Boyce Henry Cunnington, one of the first hoteliers in the area, and founder of Port Cunnington Lodge. The victorian lodge remains today as the centerpiece and hub for activities.

Over the past several years Port Cunnington Lodge & Resort has been expanded, with the addition of seven custom family chalets, and additional beach shoreline increased to 1,800 feet.

The resort is located on 22 scenic acres in a sheltered bay across from historic Bigwin Island on Lake of Bays. The lakes 585 km's of shoreline and the resort's sloping sandy beach and two boathouses provide excellent opportunities for all water enthusiast's.

Tee times are available at the world renowned private Bigwin Island Golf Club exclusive to Port Cunnington Lodge & Resort registered guests. Six additional courses are within a 30 minute drive from the resort.

Individual Cottage Description

Custom Chalets:
Seven spacious chalets all with a stunning view of Lake of Bays. Floor space ranges from 1,300 - 3,000 sq. ft. All include kitchens, fireplaces and electric heat. Ideal for large families or groups of friends.

Traditional Cottages:
Very unique cottages including a renovated dance hall and rebuilt school house. Choose from a large 3 bedroom to single room cottage. If you’re looking for character & warmth of days gone by, look no further.

Multiplexes:
We have three great multiplexes to choose from, great for couples or small families. Spacious one or two bedroom units most equipped with full kitchens and fireplaces. All units have separate entrances.
