For 25 years we have delighted in offering comfortable full-season accommodations, eco-friendly activities and facilitating holiday package tours for the outdoor enthusiast. Our separate two-storey guest chalet is fully equipped, can be cozy for four or able to accommodate large families and groups. Our bed and breakfast suites are in the main house and we provide a hearty full-course breakfast to fuel your day. Relax in the evening by the fireplaces or soothe sore muscles in the traditional finnish sauna. Kitchen privileges, packed lunches and dinners available on request.
Ski Tours And More!
A full day trip to back country ski the biggest mountain overlooking Lake Superior at an elevation of 2,165'; with runs of 1000 vertical feet in old growth hardwoods adding to the experience. Snow machine access to base. Suitable for groups up to 8.
AGAWA CANYON TOUR - A one day wilderness train tour enables you to enjoy superb scenery while taking an old-fashioned train ride to Agawa Canyon. The trip terminates 114 miles north of Sault Ste. Marie, in Agawa Canyon, the very heart of Algoma country, where an hour and a half stop over provides you with the opportunity to photograph the many waterfalls and rocky cliffs. Here you may climb to the lookout, explore the nature trails, picnic or just relax in the fine natural park beside the Agawa River
Waterfront Description & Nearby Activities
In winter, explore our extensive backcountry by telemark ski or snowshoe, or visit several world class nordic areas and the Searchmont Ski Resort, just minutes away. Telemark skiing is our personal passion, and we host a fun annual festival in February called The Snowflea Telefest.
Summer brings many opportunities to enjoy. Especially canoeing, sailing and sea-kayaking nearby on Lake Superior and the adjacent Goulais River. Our country roads and local trails are suitable for road and mountain biking, and amazing viewscapes abound, especially from The Voyageur Hiking Trail Photographers and artists will enjoy the natural beauties of the land; spring flowers, fall colours, birding, and wildlife. We have an extensive garden and recyling program, and promote organic and locally grown produce whenever available.
