We offer year round, 1, 2 or 3 bedroom, affordably priced housekeeping cottage accommodation. All cottages are fully equipped and offer wood burning fireplaces, Satellite TV, DVD players, four piece bathrooms, modern kitchen appliances including a fridge, stove and microwave oven, sun decks, propane BBQ's and campfire rings.

In Summer there is an excellent beach, and safe swimming, as the water deepens gradually, with sand under foot. We have a childrens playground, water trampoline, and free use of canoes and kayaks.

You can fish for trout or bass. A general store is located within walking distance for your convenience.

In the Fall hike the beautiful trails of Algonquin Park, and photograph the dramatic fall colours, then return to the warmth of your wood burning fireplace.

In Winter you can ski, skate, or snowmobile from your cottage door. We are surrounded by many miles of excellent groomed trails.

Lots To Do For Everyone

There is so much to see in the area - Algonquin Park with it new Visitors Centre and Museum, the Pioneer logging museum, its hiking and biking trails, and don't forget the famous Wolf Howl which normally takes place once a week in the summer. Whilst you are driving through, be on the lookout for Moose, Deer and Bears! In Oxtongue Lake there is the famous Ragged Falls, which you can walk to or access by boat. Take a picnic lunch to enjoy at the top of the falls! Also in Oxtongue Lake there is the Oxtongue Rapids Park. This is a short drive from the cottages, and consists of a series of rapids and rock cuts on the Oxtongue River, with a picnic area, and footbridge. In Huntsville, it is worthwhile visiting the Muskoka Pioneer Village and Train Museum, and whilst there, you should take a few pictures from the Lions Lookout. Fifteen minutes to our south is the pretty town of Dorset, with its famous Robinson's General Store and pretty riverside walk.

Waterfront Description & Nearby Activities

The water at our beach deepens very gradually, with sand underfoot, making it very safe for young children.

Fishing - For trout and bass in Oxtongue lake, the Oxtongue river, on the many lakes and rivers nearby.
Relax - On your sundeck, whilst the children amuse themselves in the playground, on the beach, or jumping on the water trampoline.
Play - Horseshoes, basketball, volleyball or badminton on the grassy recreation area.
Canoe - Take one of our canoes or kayaks out on the lake, and explore - perhaps up to Ragged Falls - They are included in the price!
Motor Boats-These are available to rent by the day or week.
