At Fernleigh, our chief concern is that your experience be relaxing for you. We're proud of our unspoiled, rustic setting. Over the last 60 years, we have added facilities and updated conveniences, but we've also worked at keeping things in as natural a state as possible.

Here at Fernleigh you can choose from any one of our 23 waterfront cottages. Our cabins range from 1 - 4 bedrooms and are fully furnished. There are many different style and price ranges to choose from. Whether you are looking for a cozy, rustic cabin or a brand new log cabin with all the comforts of home, we have something here for you! Want a real holiday? We have a beautiful dining room where you can go and enjoy your meals served hot and fresh by our fantastic staff. We serve 3 delicious, all you can eat, home cooked meals each day. Don’t want to come in for lunch not a problem we will pack you a lunch or provide you with everything you need for a shore lunch.

A Family Get Away For Any Season

Here at Fernleigh Lodge we do all we can to make your stay with us the best it possible can be. We have a store where the kids of all sizes can come and enjoy a well deserved treat. From ice cream, candy as well as convince items we try to have it all. We also sell bait and tackle!

Don’t have a boat? Not a problem, you can rent one of ours. Choose a simple fishing boat or a relaxing pontoon boat, what ever you prefer.

Our paddle boats, canoes and kayaks are all here, free for you to use at your own convince.

Have one of our experienced guides cook your catch for you. There is nothing better than enjoying the morning catch on a breathtaking island.

You'll find our guides and staff will do their utmost to make your stay as pleasant and rewarding as possible. And if you feel like swimming, canoeing or rock hounding, you'll find our lake, shoreline and islands full of fascinating discoveries.

Waterfront Description & Nearby Activities

Our cottages dot along the shore of 2500 feet of rustic, beautiful shore line. Our greatest desire is that you have the most balanced and rewarding vacation possible. That means providing enjoyable things to do that don't leave you more mentally exhausted than when you arrived. Our waterfront is safe for the whole family with a shallow entry beach. Choose from the many activities and do them on your own schedule. Get up at 5:00am and go fishing, or sleep in until noon and then have us pack you a picnic. The choice is yours!

Fernleigh Lodge is located on Kashwakamak Lake in Eastern Ontario. Kashwakamak Lake is 15 miles long with 40 miles of rustic and beautiful shoreline. The lake is also part of the Eastern Ontario Canoe route, which stretches from Mazinaw Lake to Ottawa.

Individual Unit Description

You can choose from any one of our 23 cabins. They range from 1-4 bedrooms.

All of our cabins are furnished with stove, refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, cooking utensils and silverware. Blankets and pillows are included, but you must bring your own linens, towels and toiletry. Cabins also have a 3 piece bathroom. Linens however, are available at the main lodge for a small fee.

Our new cottages have Sat. Tv, DVD Player, air conditoning, dish washer, washer and dryer.

We do allow pets in designated cabins. We do charge 60.00 per week per animal.

There is a laundry facility on site for your convience.
