Experience Holidaying at an 8 Acre Estate with a Private 500 ft. Shoreline on Sturgeon Lake ! We prefer 2-4 people, but will rent to 8-10 which of course is more expensive.

The private fully winterized executive cottage (2100sqft) has a 1000sq ft., 2- level deck with a fabulous lake view, a gas BBQ for outdoor cooking, a huge glass gazebo for parties by the water and a covered boat dock located off the main waterway. The water quality is really clear,weed free and wonderful for swimming. There is a safe shallow wading and swimming area for children. There is a large boat port and dockage where you can keep a 26 foot boat.

The grounds are extensive so you have complete privacy, yet with 500 feet of frontage you have panoramic views of the lake and spectacular sunsets. The entire 8 acres is quite flat so it is good for walking for seniors and young children. There is a peninsula with a fire pit /fire place for bonfires.

We are located 1 hour from Toronto and 5 min. from Bobcaygeon where there are 2 large grocery stores, lots of lovely shops, 2 golf courses, a park and art galleries. Bobcaygeon is a quaint and beautiful town with flower lined streets lots of entertainment and activities for tourists

Waterfront Description & Nearby Activities

The attractive home has a modern open concept layout with a huge stone fireplace, a cathedral ceiling and the entire front of the cottage is glass with wood trim. The cottage is newly renovated with all new furniture and is air conditioned. The full kitchen has all new stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher and microwave.

The great room has 16 ft. high glass windows at lakeside for spectacular views. Looking out front you see the lake and out the side windows you see a beautiful garden with trees, birds (Blue Herons, song birds) and animals (deer, beaver, otters). From the large airy upstairs bedroom you can see a pond and woods. There is a Studio Cottage (200sqft) for use of the main cottage only, that may be rented for extra sleeping space.

Full kitchen, new stainless steel appliances plus dish washer, microwave, BBQ & patio set on 1,000 sq. ft. deck, Satellite TV with 75 channels including 7 music channels, large glass/screened gazebo by water, outdoor furniture, fire pit, protected covered boat docking for 25-35 foot boats, canoe rental, 30 x 15 ft. wading area for children which is protected from the main lake, 500 feet of private shoreline just for your use.

Additional Bedroom Information

There are 3 spacious bedrooms: 1st Bdrm.-Queen, 2nd Bdrm-2-Singles, and the 3rd – a huge 25’x 30’ bdrm. has a Queen bed and a Double bed and a 3 third double bed can be set up as well.

If you require a fourth private bedroom a charming cabin, very near the house, with a double bed can be rented. Depending on the number of people, not all bedrooms will be made available.

There are 2 bathrooms (a 4- piece & 3- piece). One bathroom is beautifully finished in pine and the other has a marble floor and has an oversized shower. Linens & towels can be provided at an extra charge.

Additional Rate Information

Since our maximum is 9-10 people, we charge by the number of people so a couple can rent the cottage at a considerable discount. The prices above are for 2 people only. Please give me an idea of the age range of the group. Provide the number of adult guests (couples?), ages of children, no of seniors and if there are pets so we can determine if we can accommodate you and quote you a price including discounts. There is an extra charge for pets and a stoop & scoop policy applies.

Prices depend on the number of people and the date. Holiday weekends are more expensive.

Example prices are as follows:

Spring & Fall weekend - (2 guests) ($790-$850 depending on date) .
July & Aug ( 3 days) (2 people-$1200)(6-8 guests-$1800 plus depending on # guests & date).

Payment terms- all availability dates and prices are subject to change. A reservation is not confirmed until the required deposit is received. Deposits are not refunded as we remove the week from the market and hold it for you and therefore lose any further rental possibilities. Any guests over the number initially indicated are charged $35.00 per day per person, and must be registered prior to rental. Unregistered guests are charged $90.00 per dayor $125 per night. Due to past experience and fire regulations, we check the number of people periodically. We reserve the right to limit guests.

Cancellation Policy

The booking deposit which holds your desired week for 7 days is $50 and it is non refundable. After booking the first installment is 50% of the total cost unless otherwise negotiated.There is no return of the first installment of the payment within 90 days of your stay since we may not be able to rent the week.
