If you want to do some shopping Goderich is 10 minutes south from Port Albert on Highway 21. There you will find Zehr's, Food Basics, Canandian Tire, Home Hardware, TSC Store, Walmart, Zellers , Suncoast Mall, the Liquor Store and Beer Store. There are specialty shops in the downtown Square, a movie theatre and many eateries. There are beaches in the area as well.

Waterfront Description & Nearby Activities

Our two cottages sit on 1.137 acres of Nine Mile River frontage. The lot has many trees to shade the area. There is some grassy sections but most of it is covered in Boston and English Ivy. There are cement steps down to the rivers edge where you can sit and relax or try to catch a fish. There is a shared firepit for gathering and sharing stories, or roasting marshmallows and/or hotdogs.
Within Port Albert there is a general store that has basic groceries, movie rentals, ice cream, pizza and subs made to order and fishing gear for sale. The fish ladder is just seconds away from the general store. There is a north and south beach area for your enjoyment. Just 5 minutes south, at Point Farms Store, there is mini golf and across the street from there is Point Farms Provincial Park. Close by is Sunset Golf Course with 27 holes and a driving range.
