Georgian Bay Fishing Camp is a fishing lodge for avid walleye fishermen and also a wilderness lodge ideal for wilderness hiking, exploring, canoeing and kayaking. For fishermen, we offer Walley, northern pike, muskie and smallmouth bass fishing. The fishing lodge is located on the French River Delta of Georgian Bay Ontario, Canada. Our wilderness fishing lodge is situated in the middle of an untouched island archipelago of six hundred islands and protected waters, ideal for a Canada fishing trip, not too far from Toronto. We are only 3.5 hours north of the Toronto GTA.

Housekeeping efficiency cottages allow you to do your own cooking or choose or meal plan rates and enjoy the home cooking from our dining room. Our wilderness fishing lodge and fishery are within the 30,000 Islands which is a 100 x 50 mile wilderness fresh water inland sea called Georgian Bay and part of Lake Huron one of the five great lakes of Canada.

Our fishing lodge is surrounded by shallows, shoals and bays and islands. One is always protected by the islands and always near a shore. The islands and bays are weeded, and ideal hunting grounds for the predatory northern pike, and walleye that are so abundant in our waters. The outer shoals and small islands are surrounded by waters as clear as is found in the Caribbean and are idea for bass fishing. Our fishing lodge offers boats and motors and guides if needed but most do not require guides. We supply detailed navigation charts and maps that are easy to read and follow. Transportation to our island fishing lodge and back to our mainland parking area is provided by our 26ft Stanley taxi and is part of the service.

Waterfront Description & Nearby Activities

Besides fishing, we offer the following activities:

Historical Sites - The French River Area was once supported large lumber mills and commercial fishing communities. This is also the area where Europeans first saw the Great Lakes. There are a number of sites that can be explored.

Our wilderness is particularly interesting to explore as the shore line is an intricate maze of islands, shoals, bays and inlets. Much of the shore line is bald rock making walking along the shore very interesting. Many of the small bays and inlets are best fished from the shore. Individual Unit Description

Our Georgian Bay rental cabins accommodate from 2-8 persons and offer their own special scenic view of Georgian Bay. Each rental cabin is serviced with electricity and has its own cozy wood burning stove. Rental cabins are fully furnished with the sports person in mind and include: bedding, stove, refrigerator, cooking and dining utensils.
