Property Description
Looking for a special destination just beyond the end of the road? Do you wish for a maintenance-free, all-inclusive retreat to the spectacular beauty of the Temagami area? Tired of being one of thousands of holiday seekers in the busy Muskoka, Haliburton or Kawartha region? A trip to Lady Evelyn Lake and Red Pine Wilderness Lodge just may be the location of your next "best memories" holiday.
Mowat Landing (our access point) is six hours drive from the Toronto area. Guests travel by lake barge across the Montreal river, around Mattawapika Dam, then 8 miles by water taxi to Red Pine Island. Lady Evelyn Lake, with over 450 miles of shoreline offers outstanding fishing opportunities and is the gateway to two huge parks: Obabika Waterway Park and Lady Evelyn/Smoothwater Wilderness Park. A visit to either Muskego Falls or Franks Falls is a popular excursion. The very few cottages and lodges you see on Lady Evelyn were only built on islands - there is absolutely no shoreline development.
A Room With A (Wonderful) View...

Regardless, everybody on the island gets:
-Round Trip Water Taxi transport to and from Red Pine Island
-Two or Three Bedroom Cottage (see Individual Cottage Description, below)
-16 foot aluminium boat (1 boat for every 2 Adults) with new Mercury, electric start, 25 HP 4-stroke motors including power trim and tilt

Waterfront Description & Nearby Activities
Awesome Food, Super Hosts, Excellent Service at Dockside & Tableside, Outstanding Fishing...
Fishermen (and women) have known for quite some time about the great fishing Lady Evelyn has to offer, but they are also impressed with the special beauty of this pristine wilderness watershed. From sandy beaches, many secluded coves, towering pine trees, vaulting cliffs and two frothing waterfalls, the lake is a perfect background to their angling adventure. The remote nature of this huge area lends itself to wildlife viewing opportunities unmatched by road acessible holiday destinations in Ontario's north.
Do you enjoy a vigorous hike? Maple Mountain (one of Ontario's highest points) can be conquered as a day trip from the Lodge. Take one of our canoes to explore the amazing sand "eskers" or "dunes" directly across the lake from your cottage. Lady Evelyn Lake has one of the largest, most unique, examples of this glacial reminant.
It's your trip, let us help you make it happen...
