Evergreen Cove is nestled into a cozy and picturesque setting of Canadian shield rock and shale surrounded by a plentiful blend of cedar, pine and birch trees. Situated on beautiful Four-Mile Lake in the heart of the Kawartha Lakes region, less than two hours drive from Toronto!

The large, private deck is situated right on the water's edge and is a perfect place to have a relaxing drink, fire up the bbq, and watch the kids swim. To the side of the deck is a spacious firepit area great for roasting marshmallows and relaxing by a crackling fire. There is also a four-person hot tub in this area (Due to frequent guest misuse, we cannot always guarantee the condition of the hot tub. If this is crucial to your stay, please inquire in advance). There is a gas BBQ on the upper deck.

The property entrance has ample space for kids to play with a genuine tree fort in the woods and more room by the road to play badminton or throw the football around. This area also has a full garage and attached bunkie which sleeps two in bunkbeds.

Please note that due to the amount of stairs in and around the cottage, it is not suitable for persons with extreme mobility issues.

Late June/July/August weekly rental cost is $1595. Weekend rental cost during shoulder season is $495 for 2 nights.

Evergreen Cove All Season Cottage

The inside of the cottage features an open concept kitchen with bar and stools, dining room that seats six comfortably, living room with TV/DVD, new wood burning stove and large windows on the top floor that overlook the deck and water. The lower level features three ample sized rooms - master and second room with double beds, third room with bunks and single bed. There is a four-piece bathroom on this level.

There is also a screened-in porch with wicker furniture which allows people to be protected from bugs and breeze but still be in an outdoor setting. The master bedroom is attached to this room by sliding door and if the curtains are drawn, it can be a wonderful place to watch the sunrise while sipping your morning coffee.

The lake water is extremely clean and clear...great for swimming, boating and fishing. The dock gets sun most of the day while the deck provides a mix of sunshine and shade throughout the day.

Balance payments are due a minimum of 2 weeks prior to rental period at which point a $500 standard refundable damage deposit is also required.

House Rules

Renter agrees to pay the full balance of the rental fee prior to their stay plus refundable damage deposit. Renter also agrees to leave the cottage in a tidy state upon departure.

It is also important to note that this is a cottage and not a full-service luxury resort. Every effort will be made to ensure renters have an enjoyable stay, and that all advertised amenities are fully functional.

However, occasionally things break down often due to mistreatment by previous renters. Our cottage caretaker's contact info is provided on-site for emergencies and for reporting non-functioning items. There can sometimes be a delay for replacement or servicing of these items depending on circumstances.

Complaints and possible compensation will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
