Nestled on the shores of quiet Lookabout Bay (Lake Huron), our 4 luxurious waterfront cottage rentals present the best the Bruce Peninsula has to offer. Only 3 1/2 hours northwest of Toronto, or 21/2 hours north of Kitchener/Waterloo, Mac's Shacks distinctive cottage rentals provide the ideal setting for your memorable vacation.

Each newly renovated cottage is fully equipped with new beds and linens, a plasma TV with satellite, wireless internet, and iPod docking stations. A modern fully stocked kitchen awaits you, complete with granite counter tops, a cappuccino maker, full size appliances and much more.

Each cottage has access to a shared 2,400 square foot dock with a hot tub, 2 large gas barbeques, and family sized dining areas.

Our waterfront location allows you to enjoy an abundance of water activities including fishing, boating and swimming.

Mac’s Shacks is available 3 seasons, for all your celebrations. A Thanksgiving dinner,a place to gather friends and family from a far, ladies retreat, anniversaries,or even small weddings. Just imagine sharing that special occasion amongst nature’s beauty.

Waterfront Description & Nearby Activities

A large floating dock is also available suitable for mooring a boat. Enjoy roasting marshmallows around the comfortable sand firepit with your family. Firewood, kayaks, hammocks and Adirondack chairs are provided for use by our guests.

We are located within 10 minutes of the famous Bruce Trail which offers the most spectacular hiking for nature lovers, in Ontario.

Additional Bedroom Information

The Huron is the largest of our four luxury cottages and sleeps 8 guests, (6 adults and 2 children).

The Lookabout is located on the second level of the main cottage and features it own private entrance.With sleeping accommodations for 4-5, the master bedroom sports a king size bed with the second bedroom offering both a double and a single bed.

The Cedars : This cottage accommodates 4 guests (maximum 3 adults and 1 child) with 1 full bath, a Queen master and a second bedroom with twin bunks.

The Gardens accommodates 5 guests (maximum 4 adults 1 child), with a full bath, a spacious master bedroom, equipped with a king size bed and its own additional plasma TV with satellite and blu-ray system. From the master, walk out to your own private deck with dedicated barbeque and enjoy the view of the lake. The second bedroom sleeps 3, with twin bunks + single bed.
