Welcome to Clear Lake Village Resort! Set on more than 12 forested acres on beautiful Clear Lake, the resort is located just minutes from Bala, Port Carling and Gravenhurst, in the heart of Muskoka. The resort was first established in the early 1900's, strategically located on the Sandy Bay of what was then known as Torrance Lake. New for Summer 2012 an Aquaglide water trampoline!

Waterfront Description & Nearby Activities
Today resort visitors continue to enjoy the same sparkling, spring-fed lake, known for its crystal clear waters, hard sand bottom and great bass fishing. The resort property includes seven well kept cottages built in the classic Muskoka tradition. At the waterfront a natural sand beach is great for swimming and sand castles. Cast a line from the dock or take one of our complimentary non-motorized boats out for a tour of the lake. Enjoy a game of beach volleyball on our Olympic sized court, entertain the children at our kid's playground or challenge a friend to a game of horseshoes. Our fully fenced sports court provides for further activity - choose a game of tennis, basketball or floor hockey. Rest And Relaxation
Had an excellent time at clear lake! The water was amazing, clean and clear, the cottage was tidy, with everything we needed and the staff were friendly and helpful. They took me and my nephew out on a boat ride and gave us excellent tips on where to eat in town. Everyone there seemed relaxed and laid back. We'll definitely be booking again next year.
Please Accept Our Apology
To the customers who came during the tail end of the construction of our new cottages, I would like to apologize for any discomforts you suffered. We had a few set backs in the early phases of construction and were not able to meet your, or our, expectations. We have been working very hard this fall to improve the cottages and to make our customers experience a pleasurable one and we will continue to do so during the winter months. Again I would like to apologize and I hope you will come back to Muskoka and enjoy all that it has to offer.

Death Trap. Not As Advertised
To say we were disappointed with the cottage rental, would be an understatement.
The email stated a ‘brand new 3 bedroom cottage’. What it should have stipulated is that the cottage was still under construction and was not yet ready to rent out. In fact the entire area was a construction zone. Piles of debris everywhere. As for the cottage itself – the floors were concrete...clearly not finished and dirty. We could not take our shoes off, the entire stay and we were continually breathing in concrete dust. The wood was unfinished, not sanded or painted which led to a few splinters. More importantly though, my seven year old son, who was playing by the picnic table outside jumped onto a block of wood that had two nails protruding. One of those nails punctured his skin. It is now infected and he had to be taken for a tetanus shot
It was filthy when we arrived. so much more we could type, but we are limited to 1000 characters
Terrible Experienve
We arrived at the resort to HUGE construction taking place with no prior notice. The common area had been dug up with huge, dangerous holes and raw sewage leaking out! They were putting in a new septic system, but didn't tell us ahead of time and didn't take ANY safety precautions with small children running around. There was LARGE construction equipment right off our, and others' porches. The construction workers ate lunch and smoked cigarettes on our decks and we woke up to the smell of their smoke and foul language in the morning.
We tried very hard to negotiate a discount with the owner, but he wouldn't budge. We are completely disgusted that he put our children's safety at risk for his own convenience.
The construction is done now, but I would never recommend going to a place where the owner doesn't care one iota about his customers!
