Welcome to Kirst Cottages. What better way to spend a weekend, week or month than relaxing in the heart of Muskoka?
Our beautiful 10 acre property features over 700 feet of waterfront on the South branch of the Muskoka River, with access to Spence Lake. We are located at the end of a quiet road (Kirst Road) just a two minute drive from the intersection of Highway 11 North and Highway 118 East, between Bracebridge and Gravenhurst. For your summer get-away we offer two cottages for rent. The one bedroom cottage "Cedar's Edge" has two double beds in one bedroom, the two bedroom cottage has a double bed in each bedroom plus a pull-out couch in the living room.

Amenities

Both units are fully equipped with bedding, dishes, fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker, BBQ and cozy furniture. Decks offer a great view over the Canadian Shield landscape, a pond and the river. The screened in Muskoka rooms are nicely furnished with tables, chairs, couches and pillows. Lamps and candles ensure a lovely romantic evening. Enjoy watching the spectacular sunsets with your evening meal, or just sit back with your night cap and listen to the sounds of the night. Each unit also has it's own fire pit for those evening campfires. Fire wood is offered for free if available (usually there is) but you are also welcome to search our woods and find your own.

Waterfront Description & Nearby Activities

Enjoy sunbathing at our private beach or swimming in the crystal clear river. The low boat traffic makes for a quiet and safe time. Fish off the dock or watch the kids play in the sand with the variety of toys we have on hand. We also offer free use of three canoes, life jackets in sizes from infant to adult and paddles.

The river has access to two very scenic waterfalls and many ponds which attract a variety of wildlife. Spence Lake is also accessible and offers possibilities for sailing, water-skiing, tubing and many other water sports.

2 BR cottage: "The Rock", two bedrooms with a double bed in each bedroom plus a pull-out couch in the living room, sleeps up to 5 adults or 4 adults and two smaller children. Please note: there is an extra charge for more than 4 people

All bedding is supplied and sheets are changed if your rental is more than one week. There are two pillows per person, a soft and a firmer one
