I was pretty disapointed when we arrived to find out that the niether the paddle boat or canoe could be used. The paddle boat laid on shore up side down and I notice that one paddle was broken off. The Canoe was nowhere to be found. A week before arriving I recieved an e-mail from the owner stating that the motor was seized and we would have to rent a boat from the Marina down the road. Speak to Mark and he will hook you up. So I did as suggested to find out he was $100 more per day so much for a good hook up. The BBQ was dirty which is no big deal but the burner was shot and if you know anything about BBQ's and burners its like having a torch to cook food. The over all condition of the cottage was nice to say the least bring water shoes as the shower is done in plywood and has mold, ants were out of control and some sort of roach was spotted. I was told that this should be expected when renting a cottage that there was no problem but later told that is was they have the Ant posion there?
Please take pictures of all areas of the cottage as we have been accused of damaging some furnature on the deck and none of the 6 people that I went with can remember this piece of furnature even being in place and none of the photos show this piece either.

I have rented many cottages in my life and NEVER had problems as I ALWAY respect the place like its my own. I will never rent here again or even recommend this place to any one.

This is a very basic cottage. Not well maintained or stocked with anything. The waterfront is shallow and weedy. The only view is of the shallow bay in front of the cottage and an island. No real "lake views" at all.
The cottage rents for $1200. We wouldn't pay $400 to rent it and would never go back. If you just want a place to sleep - on uncomfortable beds, this is the place for you.
