Enjoy walks,hiking, biking, canoeing,swimming ,golfing and fishing in and around our our lovely cottage in the woods.If you crave the beauty and serenity of nature, peace and quiet, privacy and a great get-away, our cottage is right for you. We are child and pet friendly as well as a non-smoking establishment, and our cottage is on a clearing in 11 acres of woods, perfect for bird watching with hiking and walking trails. You can just relax and swim in our 20'x 40' pool, enjoy a picnic with a gas grill by the cottage, use our laundry facilities or have access to many fine, inexpensive, off the beaten path restaurants in the area. This is the only cottage and you have a private driveway.There are two bedrooms, sleeps up to 6, has a comfortable living room with a monitor/VCR/DVD with tapes and a phone. We have a fully equipped kitchen (pots, pans, dishes, blender and coffee maker), and a full bathroom .Quilts, linens and towels and provided, as well as a canoe for trips along the nearby Susquehanna and Unadilla rivers.

Unadilla is beautiful in every season and has many things to do in the Village, which was formerly the County Seat. The fall brings a Chili Contest, hay rides, and pie competitions as well as the vibrant fall foliage all around you! Spring brings fishing for trout in our own ex-beaver pond. Bass fishing can also be found in Lake Otsego, just a half hour drive away. We provide a canoe for you to use on the rivers and lakes. There is a fabulous tour of several breweries nearby and a large area to motorboat. The summer is hot during the day but cool in the evenings with any possible sport you could want in the surrounding areas and our heated pool to swim in! See all kinds of wildlife throughout the year.
We are a family run business and have owned this property for 30+ years! We love our cottage and home and the nature that surrounds us. It's our goal to provide the best experience for you and we can recommend the best of everything you might want to do in the area - including cider mills at which to buy your own cider! We love repeat business and getting to know our guests - but are very happy to offer you complete privacy if it suits you!
Waterfront Description & Nearby Activities
Visit Cooperstown and see Glimmerglass Opera, the Fenimore Cooper Museum, and the renowned Baseball Hall of Fame! Our area has sites to visit such as Revolutionary War battles, a multitude of Antique shops & in August, an antique fair of 1000 dealers in Madison County. In July, August, and September there are multiple country fairs and the NY State Fair over Labor Day weekend. There are numerous movie theaters, concerts, and live theater in Oneonta and Unadilla has one of the last 100 drive-in theaters in the United States! Unadilla also has a fine historical museum and a museum dedicated to Boy Scout Troup #1, the first and beginning of the Boy Scout movement in America. There are many off-the-beaten path fine restaurants as well as golfing, fishing, and horse-back riding nearby.

Additional Bedroom Information
Both bedrooms have ceiling fans, closets, and great views! Master bedroom has queen-sized bed with dressers, desk and end tables next to the bed. Great Audubon pictures decorate the walls. There is also a luggage stand for suitcases.
2nd bedroom has twin-sized trundle bed that can be pulled out to make king size if you wish! Chest of drawers, complete chess set for playing and windows looking out into the woods makes this a charming bedroom.
Living room can sleep an additional 2 people on 2 hotel-quality twin-size beds.

This cottage is open April through end of November! Cottage is fully heated and prepared for the summer with powerful ceiling fans and plenty of shade. Rates are based on double occupancy with an additional fee per person as well as 10.25% state/county taxes. We are pet-friendly - but do require a one time fee of $25/animal. This is a great cottage for honeymooners and families with children!

This is a really a great place as promised. The cottage is wonderful and private, the pool is great, it's comfortable and clean and we found the quiet of the cottage a joy after the crowds in Cooperstown. We'll definitely be back.
