This boathouse cottage offers two bedrooms, deck, a lovely lake view and inside boathouse slip. Property was once part of a resort and has been in the family for many years. Boathouse is named "The Last Resort". For those that like to walk and hike there is a look-out spot further along Bluff Rd. where the view is very lovely. Water here is very clear and has lovely hard sand for swimming. A lovely vacation right over the water! Upper deck across the front of the boathouse provides a lovely wide lake view, Lovely flat rock point beside the boathouse has a firepit and sitting area. Here the flat rock extends out into the water. Main dock is available for renters boat.

Boathouse Quarters: above the boathouse slip. Stairs lead from ground to upper unit. LR - tongue & groove pine walls, windows across the front and side for a lake view, door to front deck, electric stove, scandinavian style sofa, table seats 4-6. KIT - renovated, stove & fridge, compact, window has a lake view, open to lr. 2BEDR 1) 1 double bed 2) 2 single beds - listen to the water below in the night! (1) qb, pine walls, lake view (2) 2 tb, pine walls. BATH - two sections (1) toilet, sink (2) shower.

Waterfront Description & Nearby Activities

Lot is well treed with typical Muskoka rock and some flower gardens. Main cottage is also the year round home of the boathouse owner. The owner is retired and does not use the waterfront very much. The boathouse does have it's own parking area and is off to the side from the main house, so still private. The main dock is shared with the owner but there is another small dock along side of the boathouse which is best suited for a small boat such as a canoe. Boathouse is very private from the owner. Water is approximately 7 feet deep at end of main dock. One slip in the boathouse is available for the renter and will hold a 20ft boat. Slip is 8ft wide. If the water is very low that summer the water in the boathouse will be shallow. Swim from anywhere on the shore or off sloping flat rock at the boathouse which will give you privacy from the main house. Shore between the boathouse and owner's dock is shallow water with lovely hard sand bottom.
