A 4 bedroom, all seasons, lakefront rental cottage on Ril Lake, just 2 hours north of Toronto, south of Lake of Bays, between the towns of Baysville & Dorset. Get together to relax & play, or focus on team building activities.
Enjoy the waters Ril Lake and explore the back roads & trails, that lead to numerous back lakes. Some inhabited, but mostly natural & unihabited. Snowmobile, ATV, Bike, kayak, canoe, fish & hike. It's all right out your back door to enjoy.

If you want to travel furthur afield you can easily spend some time at Algonquin Park, Bigwin Inn Golf & Dinning, Horseback Riding, Boat trips on some of the larger lakes, like; Lake of Bays, Muskoka, Joeseph, or a "Walk in the Tree Tops" (www.haliburtonforest.com/canopy)
Waterfront Description & Nearby Activities
Get to the waterfront down a gradual slope to the pristine, warm waters of RIl Lake. The lake bottom is sand and pebbles, no weeds. The northwest facing dock provides for fantastic sunset views, and a great place to relax and take in the rippling waters of Ril.
Explore Ril Lake with any of the watercraft provided. A row boat, canoe, kayak, or paddleboat.
The backyard of the cottage has is a great gathering place around the open firepit. Pull up a chair and enjoy stories and chuckles. Memories from this cottage visit will last a lifetime.
Take in the local shopping in the quiant towns of Baysville & Dorset, or the mid size towns of Huntsville & Bracebridge. Visit their respective web sites to see what's happening during the time you'll be staying at "Golden Getaway"

Additional Bedroom Information
Quiet comforting rest can be found in two large carpeted bedrooms upstairs. The master bedroom with its high vaulted ceiling and walk-out balcony overlooking the waterfront has a queen bed + single bed.
The second bedroom has two double beds. On the main floor, there is another master bedroom with a queen bed, and a 4th bedroom is located in the basement with a queen & double beds.
There is a 3 pcs bathroom on the mainfloor with a shower, plus a bathroom on the second floor with a full size tub.

10 % Early Booking Discount ( 90 days prior to occupancy)
Weekend rentals available during none peak periods Sept - July
During the summer period (July & August ) we give preference to weekly rental requests. The prime summer period is can sometimes be booked a year in advance. So early application is helpful.
Please request a "Rental Application" from paul_priest@sympatico.ca by providing # of people, ages and time period requested. A $750 "Refundable Security Deposit" must accompany a completed rental application to secure a booking.

What A Great Time
We've rented this cottage for a couple of weekends over the last couple of years. Everybody has a blast.
Feels Like Our Own Cottage
We've been coming up to this cottage for a few years now. It's so good, we think of it as our own. We are afraid to give up our regular summer time slot, in case we can't find anything else this good. Our whole family enjoys every minute at "Golden Getaway".
Pleasantly Surprised
We have rented cottages in the past, and found the bedrooms to be small, and the musty smell that goes with old cottages. This cottage had 4 large bedrooms, quite spacious and clean.
We had a great time at a great price. For 4 or more couples, it was only $50 a night, for a fully equipped private cottage right on the lake. Who could ask for anything more !
