Guest Suites and Amenities
Our accommodation facilities offer 3 luxury, quiet, mountainside, private suites on 10 secluded acres on Mt Maxwell. Each suite has a private balcony to enjoy the magnificent panoramic ocean and mountain views and the beautiful sunrises (see our photo gallery). A two bedroom suite is available for families bringing children or for an individual bringing a caregiver. Small pets and children are welcome.

Each suite is outfitted with:
• Linens provided
• Air conditioning
• Queen size bed (The 2 bedroom suite has 1 Queen and 1 Double )
• Tempur-Pedic mattress. The Queen bed in the Birch suite has a motorized frame to raise the head and foot
• Full en-suite handicapped friendly bathroom with grab rails, walk in shower, hair drier and bath robes
• Under floor heated tiles in bathroom
• Sitting Area
• Small kitchenette with microwave and bar fridge
• Private Phone
• Alarm Clock with CD player
• Flatscreen TV with cable television
• Wi-Fi
• Private Balcony
• Panoramic ocean and mountain views

Amenities

Amenities at Celtic Place:
• Wheel-chair accessible
• Smoke free enviroment. A covered outdoor location on both floors has been set aside for those who wish to smoke.
• Sun Room looking out on to our garden
• Home-made cooked breakfast served in the Sun room or in your suite if you prefer.
• 1000 sq ft studio with wood burning fireplace, for group work and/or for a place for relaxation
• Camp fire when permitted
• Aroma-therapy, massage therapy and body works by appointment
• Use of barbecue

In the works:
• A Labyrinth in the woods for your enjoyment.
• A sacred space for meditation.
• A separate free standing well ventilated smoking room.

Kids and Pets.
We are kid and pet friendly. Kids under 10 free. Pets, a one time special cleaning charge of $50.00

Wheelchair access
The building is wheel chair accessible. The large bathrooms are designed to easily accommodate a wheel chair, walls and showers are fitted with grab bars. There is a separate entrance to the lower level as well as a stair lift between the floors.

Breakfast

Laundry
There is a modern laundry facility on site for guest use at no charge. Soap is provided.

Set high on Mount Maxwell, 10 minutes drive from Ganges village on Salt Spring Island, British Columbia, Canada, Celtic Place offers breath-taking views from 1300 ft above sea level.
You can watch the eagles play on the wind and enjoy a stillness not found in many places. The sunrise awakens each new day with promise and bathes the spectacular 180 degree view of the Strait of Georgia. You can see as far north as the North Vancouver mountain range and as far south as Bellingham, Washington, including a stunning view of Mount Baker. Have your morning coffee or tea on the veranda while you watch the deer look for their morning meal. In the winter months, let yourself be treated to a beautiful snowfall, and watch the world turn pure white.

The Dogwood Suite is on the floor below main entrance, breakfast room and Sun room. Well lit stairs, with a stair lift, connect the two floors. This suite has a queen sized Swiss TempurPedic mattress. This suite has a sitting area with two comfy chairs by the French doors that open up to a large private deck with a magnificent view of the Gulf Islands and the water.The suite rate for up two persons is $165.00, including a sumptuous cooked breakfast.

The Cedar Suite is on the floor below main entrance, breakfast room and Sun room. Well lit stairs, with a stair lift, connect the two floors. This suite has a queen sized Swiss TempurPedic mattress. This suite has a sitting area with two comfy chairs by the French doors that open up to a private deck with a magnificent view of the Gulf Islands and the water. The suite rate for up to two persons is $175.00, including a sumptuous cooked breakfast.

The Birch Suite is on the same floor as main entrance, the breakfast room and Sun room. There are no stairs to negotiate . Also there are no stairs to get into the building, just a straight walk in. This suite has two beds one of which is in a separate bedroom. The main room in this suite has a queen sized Swiss TempurPedic mattress with a massage feature and a motor operated adjustable bed frame. The separate bedroom has a double size Swiss TempurPedic mattress. The main room has a sitting area with two comfy chairs and a sofa, all set around a coffee table by the French doors that open up to a private deck with a magnificent view of the Gulf Islands and the water. The suite rate, for up to two persons, is $185.00, including a sumptuous cooked breakfast, with a premium of $15.00 if the separate bedroom is used, and a $20.00 per head charge for more than two persons in the suite.

Typically on Salt Spring B&Bs have two night minimum stay, however we can make exceptions in certain circumstances. Our rates include a luxurious suite and a sumptuous cooked breakfast that can be served in the Sun Room or in your own private suite if you so choose. We are happy to accommodate requests about food allergies or specific foods that guests choose to avoid.

All prices quoted herein are in Canadian dollars and subject to applicable taxes.

Cancellation Policy

The booking deposit is one night’s stay plus taxes.

If cancelled or changed more than 14 days before the planned arrival date the cancellation/date change fee is $ 25.00

If cancelled or changed between 14 and 7 days before the planned arrival date the cancellation/date change fee is 50% of the booking deposit. If we can rebook your suite with another guest for the same nights we will refund this cancellation/date change fee, less a $50.00 administration fee.

If cancelled or changed less than 7 days before the planned arrival date the cancellation/date change fee is the booking deposit. If we can rebook your suite with another guest for the same nights we will refund this cancellation/date change fee, less a $50.00 administration fee.
