Come with 2 families or with friends for your children. If you are an extra-large group you can also rent(for an extra fee) our barn/bunk cabin where kids and teens can enjoy a "hang out" area with movies, games and video games plus four extra beds upstairs. This is a really great space which has that rustic "cottage/farm" feel while giving all ages of our guests the leisure space they need. Either way, RELAX with all the space, comfort and style you deserve! The property is very large and private. It's grounds are adorned with expansive lush grass, mature shade trees and a wide variety of shrubs and perennials. The grass on the property gradually slopes down to the edge of the river where the bottom is sandy and the depth is perfect for wading and swimmers. Enjoy a meal on the sunny patio, enjoy coffee and the morning sun in the screened porch, or sit along the river with your feet in the water, all while enjoying the shade of a mature tree. This cottage is 40 minutes from Pembroke, 2 hrs from Ottawa, 3 hrs. from Kingston and minutes from the shopping and tourist areas of Eganville, Golden Lake, Killaloe, Wilno and Barry's Bay. Nestled between Golden Lake and Round Lake, this ideal setting gets you to Algonquin Park or the Bonnechere Caves in just a short drive. Golf links are close by near Eganville and Killaloe and the area abounds with rural roads ideal for cyclists and hikers. Shop and the specialty stores in Killaloe, Wilno or Barry's Bay. Enjoy fine dining at The Sands on Golden Lake (just down the road) or enjoy a Chinese Buffet and a summer take-out just minutes away. Entertainment

Many people who have come, tell us that the photos do not do it justice. This unique property has all the comforts of home while still holding that cottage and farmhouse charm. You have loads of room for a game of touch football on the grass, many shade trees for relaxing, huge gorgeous windows throughout the house for natural light and the natural views. There is plenty of space inside and out and even a screened porch, for everyone to have a little "space" of thier own, away from the hustle and bustle of holiday life.
We also have great Bell and Rogers cell service.

Our waterfront is on a very wide section of the Bonnechere River which feeds into Golden Lake. Our grassy lawn leads right up to the water's edge where a generous, shady maple tree sits. The bottom is soft/sandy and the slope is gradual for swimmers and waders. We also have an alternate area for swimming. This is were you will find a sandy beach for playing and where the sandy bottom is more firm and practically weed free. The fishing is great! There are many quiet rural roads for walking, running, cycling and hiking. There are golf links nearby in Killaloe as well as in Eganville. Near Eganville is also where you will find the Bonnechere Caves. There is great local craft shopping in Golden Lake, Killaloe, Wilno and especially in Barry's Bay which is the farthest at about 25 minutes away. Close by you can eat out at the Golden Lake Chinese Restaurant or dine in style at the Sands on Golden Lake; both are located right at Deacon.

We have 4 bedrooms. 1: queen sized bed; 2: bunk beds and two twin beds; 3: double bed; 4: two twin beds. All bedrooms are on the second floor where there is also one of the bathrooms. Bedrooms are generous in size and well spread out for quiet and privacy. Beds and fitted with high quality linens which are provided. The bedroom area is also adjacent to a varried hall library with an extensive book collection. The second floor of the cottage is bright, airy and very large and comfortable. Full of charm!
In addition to the main house the property also boasts a large 2-storey barn/bunk house. The ground floor is a great rec room for children, teens and even adults. Here, guests enjoy board games, movies and video games and simply a place to loaf around. The second floor is a dorm style with four twin beds, high slanted ceilings and two good sized windows for air flow on warm summer nights. This additional space is available upon request and for an additional fee.

We are listed as "no pets" officially, however, we will allow for an additonal surcharge of $100.00 per pet.
If you do not have a full week to book, we charge 200.00/night.

Règlement de la maison

Upon booking, we require a valid Visa or Mastercard number to book. We collect half immediately (non-refundable) and will process the other half the first day of your stay. We will also process a $200.00 (refundable) damage deposit. We charge $1250.00/week with $100.00 for each additional day. There are additional charges for extra large groups. We reserve the right to limit the number of occupants.

Cancellation Policy

Should you cancel, you will forfeit half of the weekly rate.
