Whether you are an avid fisherman, or simply looking for a unique outdoor experience to share with your family, at Tinker’s, you can do it all. Choose your comfort level from fully-modern American Plan accommodations at the main camp at Nestor Falls or fly out by floatplane to one of our remote wilderness retreats, where you’ll re-live many of the ways of the pioneers.

We are located approximately 65 miles north of the International Fall, MN border crossing. Follow Highways 11/71 west and 71 north to Nestor Falls, ON. For guests traveling by air, scheduled airline service is available into International Falls, MN through Delta-Northwest Airlines connecting through Minneapolis. Nestor Falls also has its own compacted 3800' airstrip for private aircraft. Customs can be cleared at Fort Frances.

American Plan

Our all-inclusive American Plan fishing package gives you the unique opportunity to experience a variety of wilderness fishing each day as YOU choose! Hop aboard one of the airplanes waiting at the dock for a day of guided fly-in day fishing, or jump into a comfortable 18' cruiser and let your guide show you an action-filled day out on beautiful Lake of the Woods or one of the nearby area lakes. You can experience one of our little-known, seldom fished “secret” lakes, where we fish strictly catch-and-release… bring your camera, once you’ve had a taste of this action you’ll understand why.
No matter where you spend your day, stop mid-day for a sizzling shore lunch feast on the rocks, or a quick box lunch sandwich-whatever your style, It's all part of the fun!

Back at camp, you will stay in one of our spacious guest houses overlooking beautiful Tinker’s Bay. Each is fully furnished, all electric with bathroom and shower. Daily maid service is also included, so RELAX- you’re really roughing it!

Breakfast and dinner are served in the dining room of our magnificent log lodge perched high above the water amid tall pines. The scrumptious, home-cooked meals are sure to try the heartiest of appetites, from the Saturday night steak BBQ to the fresh caught walleye fish fry each Friday, and we’re always happy to accommodate special diets too!

Whether it’s your annual family fishing vacation; your trip “UP NORTH” with the guys; or your business outing with clients- We’ve got it all!

Our log lodge on Lake of the Woods is the gathering place for guests and home to our family. Built in 1986, its warmth reflects the long Helseth tradition of hospitality. Our unique collection of wildlife mounts, carvings and memorabilia have been gathered over Tinker's lifetime of flying and fishing the north. The extraordinary log pavilion hosts fish fry's, outdoor breakfasts and even the occasional wedding! It, too, features a number of remarkable log creations hand carved by Tinker himself.

We have seven comfortable fully-equipped cabins at our main lodge overlooking Tinker’s Bay of Lake of the Woods. Enjoy a fine scotch and a cigar in our log gazebo after dinner and swap a good fish tale or two… you might just hear some live old-time country music by some of our staffers!
