Description de la propriété
The spacious chalets of Le Moulin de Saint-Laurent can accommodate 2 to 10 people during the summer and winter. Right on the banks of the river, all of them offer stunning views of the majestic St. Lawrence River. In short, this is the perfect place to relax and fully enjoy the enchanting beauty of the Island of Orleans. As well, it is only 20 minutes from Old Quebec.
During our summer season, from May 1 to October 31, you will be spoiled, that is to say, you will be served a continental breakfast at the cottage and gourmet dinner in our restaurant. This is an old flour mill dating back to 1720. In addition, daily housekeeping service will be offered.
During the winter season, from November 1 to May 1, you can enjoy the warmth from the fireplace in the privacy of your chalet for one or more nights. No daily cleaning.
Beautifully furnished, each cottage at Le Moulin de Saint-Laurent has all the amenities to make your stay unforgettable: bedding, fully equipped kitchen and all essential commodities (salt, pepper, sugar, coffee, jams, etc..).
Saint-Laurent-de-l'Ile-d'Orleans
In the municipality of Saint-Laurent, visit the Forge à Pique-Assaut – Forge Economuseum, an interpretation centre on the traditional forge techniques. In this forge, you can observe craftsmen at work with chandeliers, furniture and gates made exclusively for you.
Overlooking the village, the Clos de l’Insolite will make you discover an enchanting rural site in an old building recently renovated. During your visit, you will have the chance to see the work of Chantal Chênevert, a watercolorist and haute-licière, the work of Denyse Langlois, a professional enameller who shows her works in four Canadian museums, as well as the original work of other artists.
Then visit the parc Maritime de Saint-Laurent. At the Fillion building site, you will be told the maritime history of the region, and at the Chalouperie des Godbout, which is classified historical monument, a rowboat designer will welcome you and build a “water cart” before your eyes. The unique fishing harbour, both experimental and educational, will make you discover the former fishing period of Île d’Orléans. A picnic area and a privileged access to the River complete the parc maritime site.
