Alderwood Farm is 5 acres of natural beauty and landscaped gardens ~ the perfect destination for Weddings and Special Events.

The covered Outdoor Chapel and Terraced Gardens are available for Wedding Ceremonies, Receptions, Rehearsal suppers, intimate conferences, summer parties or other joyous occasions from May thru September each year.

Celebrate life or just come for the afternoon, experience Alderwood Farm, enjoy the charming farm animals and visit our Specialty Food Shop.

For those couples looking for a Romantic Getaway we have a Private B&B. Accommodation in the Cozy Cottage includes breakfast makings from our specialty food store. Custom Catering is available for Lunches, Snacks and Dinner & Wedding Packages.

Alderwood Farm is located on Bowen Island, a northern gulf island in the Howe sound of British Columbia. Bowen Island is a short scenic 20 min. BC Ferries ride from Horseshoe Bay or the new passenger ferry to Snug Cove from Granville Island.

Weddings & Catering

Alderwood Farm is five acres of West Coast wonderland – hidden on Beautiful Bowen Island. A Two acre garden venue is set-up for your private event and provided with full service catering.

The covered Ceremonial Rock Garden set with lush plants, white pillar candles, parasol & paper lanterns creates a romantic venue for your special occasion. Beautiful flower arrangements, fresh salal garlands and tulle enhance the natural decor. Also included signing table & gift table decorated with white linen and fresh flower centrepiece and a two-hour weekday rehearsal time. The beautiful tiered patio gardens; charming farm animals and the natural surroundings provide the perfect setting for many memorable pictures.

At Alderwood we create memorable experiences and allow you to enjoy your day and feel like a guest at your dream wedding. We pride ourselves in being able to offer a complete and full service venue. See the special services listed below that are available to customize your celebration. With all the details taken care of you can show up and “Just Say I Do”.

After the ceremony and reception, let the romance continue with a night in the honeymoon cottage for the bride and groom. Imagine a gorgeous honeymoon suite beautifully decorated to provide total serenity. Start your new life together with champagne, chocolate covered strawberries and gourmet breakfast served on elegant platters and fine crystal. The cottage offers an inviting getaway for two in a warm décor of natural wood, tile and stained-glass. Amenities include a small fridge, microwave, electric kettle, coffee maker, George Forman Grill and a two-burner stove. Guests are also welcome to dine in our covered ceremonial rock garden and have use of the outdoor kitchen and barbeque.
