So you want to experience the great outdoors, nature's tranquility, and maybe even a bit of camping, but you don't like "roughing it"? Maybe the thought of sleeping on the ground in a tent is not your cup of hot chocolate? Do you like to sleep with four walls and a roof around you?

Not to worry, we have you covered! At Bon Echo Family Campground, we offer private, cozy, rustic camper-trailers for your use. If you are looking for a 5-star hotel room, these campers are not for you as they are vintage 1970s & 80s wood paneling with basic facilities. However they remain one of the most popular offerings of our campground and are in hot demand!

Fully equipped with electricity and water, all you have to do is show up with your own pillows, linen, and towels, and you're good to go. The camper-trailers sit up off the cold ground and have curtains for your privacy.

While the washrooms within the camper-trailers have been disabled, modern washroom facilities are just steps away and include flush toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, and hot showers. For cooking, you can use the in-trailer stove, or exterior fire pit. We'll provide the pots and utensils. Alternatively, there are numerous restaurants within 5 minutes drive of the campground if outdoor cooking is not for you.

Pets and smoking are not allowed inside rented trailers due to possible allergies of other renters.

Fun Stuff To Do

Fishing & Boating
They don’t call this area the Land O’Lakes region for nothing! They should also call it the Land O’Fish region. We’re right on Little Marble Lake which will amaze you with it’s calm and quiet waters. A small lake, there are few motorized boats on it yet you can expect to catch some good sized bass and trout. If you are an avid boater, fisher, water-skier, or long-haul canoeists, you can keep busy for hours on the huge Lake Mazinaw and other lakes nearby. No boat? Rent a motorboat or pontoon boat at Smart’sMarina.

Canoeing/Kayaking
Bon Echo Family Campground is located right on the headwaters of the Mississippi River—a waterway and popular canoe route that flows 200km from Mazinaw Lake in the west to the mighty Ottawa River. This route offers a mix of river and lake travel with class I – IV whitewater depending upon water levels and flow conditions. A trek through the area lakes and streams is a journey through history; rocky shores scraped by advancing glaciers; potholes gouged out of the granite by swirling rocks and water; ancient paintings by native people; old log slides, dams and mill ruins.

ATV Trail Riding
We’re in ATV country! You will love the vast network of ATV trails in the area, allowing you to explore hundreds of kilometers. Bring your map or GPS so you can make it back for dinner! Check out the local ATV trail information as well as the trails closest to the campground.

Mountain Biking
Mountain bikers will enjoy remarkable scenery and differing terrains to challenge bikers of all skill levels. With over 58 kilometers of Crown access roads and a multitude of off-road trails through the forests and around the lakes of the North Frontenac Park Lands, bikers will take in stunning vistas from sandy beaches, pristine lakes and upland hardwood, to igneous substrata, granite slopes, rocky bluffs and outcroppings.

Enjoy a beautiful sandy beach with a long walk-out perfect for children. Have fun in the rental canoes, kayaks, or pedal boats available for you to rent for low cost. Little Marble Lake is a small quiet escape with very few motorized boats. Some of our visitors launch themselves on inflatables and read a book, sunbath, or fall asleep without worry they are going to be "swept out" to sea or run over by a motor boat/jet ski.

We have two private, cozy, rustic camper-trailers to offer you. These include:

"The Terry" - 29 feet, sleeps 4 adults & 2 young children. Kitchen, stove, fridge, microwave, double sink,
relaxation area with sofa, private bedroom with double bed, private washroom (toilet disabled) with sink & vanity.

"The Prowler" - 24 feet, sleeps 2 adults & 3 children. Kitchen, stove, fridge, water, electricity, dining table. Private washroom (toilet disabled) with sink & vanity.

"The Jayco" - 30 feet, sleeps 4 adults & 2 young children. Kitchen, stove, fridge, microwave, relaxation area with sofa, reading chair, private bedroom with double bed, bunk beds, private washroom (toilet disabled) with sink & vanity. Air conditioned.
