Algonquin Park

Oakview Lodge & Marina provides an ideal base for an enjoyable day trip to Algonquin Park, Ontario's premier Provincial Park. Our Haliburton lodge is less than one hour away from the Park and all that it has to offer Algonquin visitors. With breath-taking scenery every kilometer of the way, even the drive to the Park is enjoyable and well worth undertaking, any month of the year. For foreign tourists exploring Canada, out of province visitors and first time visitors to central Ontario, a trip to world famous Algonquin Provincial Park should be on your must do list. At the Park you will find an interesting and informative centre, museums, displays, abundant animal life, and pristine lakes and forests. There are plenty of marked trails throughout the Park that are especially suitable for day visitors to walk, bicycle or ski. As well, arrangements can be made for guided canoe tours, wilderness tours, nature tours, photography tours and a whole lot more.

Little Hawk Lake is a deep (285' at the deepest point) crystal clear lake which is home to lake trout and large and small mouth bass. From Little Hawk you can access Big Hawk, Saskatchewan and Big Brother lakes. We are located on the Haliburton Highlands water trails with many portages which take you into hundreds of virtually untouched lakes. The beauty of nature abounds here. Close by is the historic Hawk Lake Log Chute, completely refurbished & operational. In winter snowmobiling, dog sledding, cross country skiing and snowshoeing offer a vast range of outdoor activities. There is a public outdoor ice skating rink just 5 minutes from the lodge with night lighting.

The lodge itself has an inviting fireplace lounge great for relaxing, reading, playing board games or watching satellite TV. We offer fine dining in our screened porch (in summer) or inside dining room ( winter) overlooking pristine Little Hawk Lake. Or perhaps you would like to enjoy a long cool drink at the bar in the company of friends. The lodge provides a fantastic view from one end of the lake to the other. We are close to all the amenities and offer an air conditioned, smoke free environment. Absolutely everything you need to enjoy a perfect vacation. You'll love it!

We now have six suites. Four have sitting rooms with satellite TV, free wireless internet, a bedroom with a queen size bed and a 4 piece ensuite bath. The other two suites offer a bedroom with two double beds and one 4 piece bath and one 3 piece bath. Three face the lake and three face the gardens. All are beautifully decorated and immaculately clean.

In addition to our suites we have just built a beautiful 2 bedroom cottage. One bedroom has 2 double beds and the other has a double/single combo bunk bed The unit includes a 3 piece bath, full modern kitchen, fireplace, Satellite TV, DVD, deck, gas BBQ and a breathtaking view of Little Hawk Lake. Use of a canoe and paddle-boat is also provided. The Loon's Nest is pet friendly.

All prices are per night and based on double occupancy. (Loon's Nest Cottage is based on quad occupancy and does NOT include breakfast). Room and Suite Prices include lakefront accommodation, breakfast and property amenities. Prices are subject to applicable taxes 13% HST & 15% service.

Minimum 2 night stay on weekends & 3 nights on Holiday weekends.

Children under 10 yrs. stay free. $40 per additional person per day plus 13% HST.
No refunds for late arrival or early departure.
Prices are subject to change without notice and do not include applicable taxes.

Cancellation Policy

A confirmed reservation is a FIRM contract. A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required at confirmation. Any cancellations within 14 days of the rental period will be charged the full rental unless we are able to re-rent the unit. Cancellations received in excess of 14 days of the rental period will only be charged the deposit. No credit or refunds will be given for late arrivals or early departures.
