Waterfront
We're located on the shore of Chemong Lake between lock 31 and 32 of the Trent Severn System, in Bridgenorth, Ontario, Canada, in the heart of the beautiful Kawartha Lakes district in the County of Peterborough. Just 90 minutes north of Toronto and 8 minutes north of Peterborough.
Bridgenorth is a small village. You can walk to grocery shopping, liquor & beer store, pizza restaurant, super little bakery, unique garden store and Tim Horton's.
There are several golf courses within minutes, in the summer there are free concerts 2 times a week, there is a free zoo just minutes away and many other places to check out such as the canoe museum. You are just 25 minutes from the ski hills of Devil Elbow in the winter. We supply you with a book of interesting places to check out while here and directions to get there.
Boating on
Chemong Lake
FREE FISHING BOAT with 9.9 Johnson outboard (you pay for the gas). You must have boating license. All life jackets and requirements are supplied. Supply you own fishing equipment. Bring your boat as FREE dock-age, off street parking and launching is available.
Excellent local fishing with Large and small mouth Bass, Muskie, Walleye and perch. Chemong Lake is part of the the Trent System. We are part of the tri-lakes which means you can go from Chemong Lake to Buckhorn Lake and Pigeon Lake without going thru any locks.
FREE ICE FISHING HUT, propane heater ($6 per disposable bottle of propane) and ice auger are all supplied FREE of charge. You are responsible for having a fishing license.
Peterborough is only 8 minutes north of us and you can find anything you need there from Walmarts to Costco, many restaurants and night spots.

The Great Room (35' x 15') features a natural gas fireplace, 50" hdtv, two comfortable seating areas, either in front of the fireplace or looking over the lake, and a dining/games table. We have over 120 movies, Nintendo Wii games and equipment and Karaoke Selections that are provided for your pleasure.
The fully appointed bathroom includes shower compartment and an extra large two-person Jacuzzi Jet Tub with mirrored tub surround.
The kitchen comes complete with microwave, dishwasher, full-size stove and refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, kettle,slow cooker, blender etc. All cooking utensils, dishes and linen are provided. You can visit round the bar with four bar stools.
The two large bedrooms feature queen-size beds with Pillow top Sears King Coil mattresses, and each bedroom has a 32" hdtv with individual Star Choice receiver and DVD. Two of the Great Room couches feature pull-out queen-size beds, so there's comfortable accommodation for up to eight people.
Of course,wireless internet, central air conditioning and heating are included.
Your hosts are Gordon and Mary Jo Hepburn.
Gordon was brought up in Toronto. He is a retired Master Seaman Boatswain of 22 years service in the Canadian Navy. He lived in Nova Scotia for 30 years.
Mary Jo is from the U.S., was born in Georgia, and lived many years in Florida.
They met in Florida.
Gordon and Mary Jo bring together the fun of the Canadian lifestyle and the hospitality of the southern United States.

All rates are based on 2 nights or more. Your 3rd night is always half price.
Weekend (Friday-Sunday) rates during Mid and Low season.are $350 which includes a two night stay and a full Hot breakfast each morning for up to 4 people. Each person over 4 to a max of 8 people is an extra $20 per night per person.
Weekday rates(Sunday - Thursday) during Low season.are $198 which includes a two night stay and a full Hot breakfast each morning for up to 4 people. Each person over 4 to a max of 8 people is an extra $20 per night per person.
Weekday rates(Sunday - Thursday) during Mid season.are $299 which includes a two night and a full Hot breakfast each morning for up to 4 people. Each person over 4 to a max of 8 people is an extra $20 per night per person.
A $200 is required for less than a week and a $300 deposit for a week stay. This can be paid by Master Card, Visa or Internet Transfer.
We do not rent by the single night.

Little Piece Of Heaven
"When I discovered "Gethsemane Rest Bed and Breakfast on the Lake", I discovered heaven on earth. This place is the absolute best getaway ANYONE can ever wish for. We go up there as our yearly tradition since we've discovered it.
From sipping wine in the hot tub, a little relaxation and warmed towel in the sauna to a fabulous fireplace roaring among good friends and good conversation. One of the best sunsets you can see and if your lucky enough to be in the hot tub at the time even better. Can't wait to hear the loons again this year.
The hosts Mary Jo and Gord are lovely friendly people to take a genuine interest in you having the best getaway possible. Let me tell you there isn't anything that they haven't thought of, but there will definitely be things you never thought of.

Beautiful And Affordable
3 years ago my husband his cousin his girlfriend and myself were looking for somewhere to get away and chase away the February blues. We started our search on Kijiji and found the Gethsemane Guest house originally we were skeptical because it sounded to good to be true.
I am happy to say that every February since we have been enjoying a wonderful relaxing and very affordable get away at a very beautiful place with even more beautiful hosts Mary Jo and her husband Gordon are very friendly and accommodating hosts and we would recommend their guest house to anyone who will listen !
Exceeded Our Expectations
We stayed at the Bed and Breakfast in March with another couple. We have stayed in alot of places and web sites either don't do it justice or it is a complete let down. Well we were very surprised that this place exceeded our expectations. Very clean and very very spacious
Upon arriving we were shown around and also showed how everything worked. The view from the sunroom over the lake is wonderful. Our husbands had an amazing time on the first experience of ice fishing. We will go again in the winter again for ice fishing. We wanted a place where we can totally relax and this is the place, everything you need is there. Two full size bedrooms with TV and Dvds in each room. Comfortable beds and towels for both the bathroom and hot tub. We spent evenings in the Hot tub and sauna and it was amazing to look out over the lake and watch the sunset and stars each night. One of the wonderful treats you get in the off season is breakfast left for you in your kitchen each morning

My family and myself have had the good fortune to stay at Gethsemane Bed and Breakfast a couple of times over the last few years. Mary Jo and Gordon, the hosts, are absolutely wonderful, they are polite and friendly and a pleasure to visit with. The accommodations, are beautiful, the beds are amazing to sleep in and there is nothing in the home that have been done second rate. They always respect your privacy and you would never know they where there if you so desired, the breakfast’s they supply are excellent, and you never leave with a empty stomach, all and all, I would recommend Gethsemane to anyone with complete confidence. Beautiful And Spacious
We had our first visit to Gethsemane Guest House in 2010. Upon our arrival, our hosts Gordon and Mary Jo Hepburn were so warm and inviting and immediately made us feel so comfortable. The accommodations are beautiful and spacious and are equipped with everything you could ever need to enjoy your time there. We loved relaxing on the lounge chairs by the lake, taking the boat out for some fishing, enjoying the Aqua Bikes and then having a hot tub under the stars. We are eagerly looking forward to our next visit this year.

A Diamond In The Ruff
I'am an avid camper with a group of friends that get away 2 to 3 times during the camping season. While searching the web under vacational rentals one fall day I came across a bed & breakfast place that met all our requirements, hot tub, sauna, gas fireplace, 3 tv's, wii game, full kitchen amenities, three season room with excercise equipment & much more outdoors to use & rent.
Our host Gordon & Mary Jo Hepburn of Gethsemane Guest House treated us like family & were there to offer their expertice on running all the electronic equipment as well as the hot tub, sauna & jaccuzi tub. Their hot breakfast included in the package was awsome.
I have been here twice for a two day stay since middle of Jan. & we are booked back in in Sept. at the end of our camping season. My group have already decided to make this an annual stop over. This bed & breakfast escape is truly a diamond in the ruff. (info@bedandbrekfastinbridgenorth.com).
Wonderful Hosts
